Birdguides(App) and Birdwatch (Magazine) Photo of the Week
Photo of the Week award is an informal and friendly competition judged by the team at BirdGuides/Birdwatch. All photos uploaded during the current week are eligible. A single Photo of the Week will be chosen, along with a selection of Notables. All 52 Photos of the Week are eligible for Photo of the Year. This annual contest is voted on by our readers from a shortlist provided by the BirdGuides/Birdwatch team.
Yorkshire Dales Photography Competition 2026
The Yorkshire Dales has a unique charm and beauty - a landscape and people like no other. Windswept moors, verdant dales crisscrossed with drystone walls, traditional farming communities and bustling market towns. The Dales have inspired countless artists over the centuries, and the YDMT are now inviting you to pick up your camera and capture what the Yorkshire Dales means to you, be it the people, the landscape, or the wildlife. Seek out a new perspective on the Dales – find a new angle on a classic scene, head off the beaten path, or tell a fresh story with your photographs. Thirty-five finalists will be selected from the entries, whose work will be included in our gallery exhibition, which will run from 16 th – 28 th June.
The competition is currently open for entries until 26-4-26

Swinton Park Estate Photography Competition
Capture the essence of the Swinton Estate by entering Swinton Watch photography competition with your best rural photos of the estate. There are 3 age categories and 3 photography categories within each age group : landscape, estate wildlife ( including birds, insects and butterflies )and Swinton in bloom-the prize for age 19 and upwards is a seasonal lunch for two in the Terrance Restaurant and Bar.
The competition entries can be made from 20-3-26 to 20-6-26.
