My main photographic interests are now the urban scene, events, performance, sport (particularly Harrogate Rugby Club) and landscapes in the north of England. Examples are shown on the top row below. 

I try to take photos that create a sense of time and place and communicate with the viewer. Hopefully a single image will create an emotional response or possibly pose a question, but I am increasingly working on projects, sometimes culminating in a book. My current one is a 2 mile stretch of the Washburn Valley near Blubberhouses, which includes the remains of a complex water system for a demolished mill, lower row below.
