Simon Hill FRPS

Simon began his professional career as an editorial photographer in the early 1980s. Since then, he has worked with over 300 museums, galleries, cultural institutes, historic sites and publishers in over 50 countries … although his favourite place will always be Iceland!  His work has been published in many books and magazines including National Geographic, The Observer and The Sunday Times.

Simon’s photograph of York Cemetery groundsmen, Oliver Clarke and Robert Harris, taken for his project “The English in Particular”, was the winner of the Longford International Art Portrait Competition 2017.
 
Simon is a graduate of Blackpool College of Art, the Open College of the Arts and Saint Martin's School of Art, London. He is a former Kodak Professional Photographer of the Year and a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society.
