I have been fascinated by photography since I watched my father in his darkroom developing his prints when I was 5. My first simple camera followed a few years later. I progressed through a couple of 35mm cameras to my first single lens reflex, which I took to University.
As a single parent of two children, I used a point and shoot 35mm camera – no auto-focus in those days! For a holiday to Malaysia I acquired a compact digital camera and a few years later upgraded to a Digital SLR and joined the Harrogate Photographic Society.
My main photographic interests are travel, architecture and landscape, although I also take a lot of pictures of our grandchildren, and I produce about 3 photo books a year.
