On 2nd December we welcome Kat Sanders to HPS to present her talk, Marine Underwater Photography.
Kat is the Living Seas Awareness and Research Officer with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. Far from limiting its scope to land based conservation, the YWT is heavily involved in the newly designated Marine Protected Area, covering an extensive area along the Yorkshire coastline and out to sea.
Kat’s work as a conservation officer involves underwater photography, and in addition to seeing a great selection of her photographs we will also learn about the marine conservation work the YWT carries out.
Congratulations to Ian Birtwistle who is the winner of a photographic competition in aid of the Lincolnshire Bomber Command Memorial Appeal. His winning picture gains him an opportunity to climb aboard a WW2 Lancaster bomber and to taxi down the runway in this iconic airplane.

On Monday 28th October Keith returns to HPS to present his latest work, an eclectic selection of images and audio visuals, which promises to be an inspiration to all those seeking excellence in their photography.
Keith, a past Vice-President of the Royal Photographic Society, is one of the few people to have gained two FRPS distinctions, one of which is for his audio-visual work.
A not-to-be-missed presentation, with a great story behind it.

Our annual photography exhibition at Saint Peter’s Church has been attracting a lot of visitors. It’s a fantastic venue to showcase the work of HPS members. A small selection are shown above but many more are on display inside the Church. Some of the work is for sale – just ask the members manning the exhibition. They will also be happy to talk about photography or explain what else HPS members get up to.
The show is on in Harrogate town centre until Sunday 15th September 2013.
We are pleased to announced that Reina Van den Hoek’s exhibition ‘Reflections’ will launch tomorrow evening in North Hollywood, USA. Good luck, Reina!
